Projects and Accomplishments
1. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM - GLOBAL 7500 Aircraft
Program covered design development, testing and manufacture of an ultra long range business jet, one of the most luxurious and expensive aircraft. The program posed a challenge of Change management and Vendor management due to short product development cycle to meet market launch along with constraints of multi-site teams and complex operations.
Accomplishments as a Program Manager
- Timely project deliverable on portfolio change projects including milestones, reports, escalations, and performance KPIs and dashboard with aligned stakeholders through clear communication
- Advanced analysis, visibility and risk profile of the changes to enable quick decisions by Operations and Management
- Resolution and mitigation of operations issues and risks through stakeholder engagement, effective facilitation and communication
- Strategy development with cross functional Directors for PCR prioritization and categorization towards meeting business goals
- Successful transition between sites for Change management team with no disruption to the program schedule
- Successful delivery of cross functional workshops to mitigate process gaps to expedite changes
2. PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM - Airbus A350 Controller
Program covered design development, qualification testing and production of Environment Control System, for customer (Airbus) . The program had a challenge of scope crepe and cost overruns, delaying the program and adding the schedule constraint to meet committed customer deliveries.
Accomplishments as a Project Engineer (Controls)
- Improved financial performance through better planning, tracking and reporting of cost, milestones and manpower
- Approved over runs on scope crepe through change management process implementation
- Expedited production testing through planning and resource coordination
- Aligned and satisfied stakeholders through efficient project communication and engagement
4.ORGANIZATION TRANSFORMATION & OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY - Multiple
Project scope covered Quality Management system integration and Continuous improvement projects (including Sales ERP application implementation, Branding and packaging, Inventory and Workflow optimization)
Accomplishments as a Project lead
- Reduced production rejects and customers returns through quality control and failure mode analysis from 8-10% to 2% in period of 2 years
- Improved operation performance efficiency by 50% with track able and audit-able results through process engineering
- Developed optimum inventory and batch sizes along with standard inventory ordering system using sales history and Kanban technique, towards efficient financial management
- Implemented green packaging and waste management system with cost savings and safe disposal of waste towards sustainability goal
3. ERP DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION - Asset Management Tool
Project scope covered ERP customization, field surveys and implementation of an ERP tool for asset tracking and management through its life-cyle towards predictive analysis and improved reliability. The project incurred the challenges of organization transformation initiative including technology integration, process re-engineering and behavior change.
Accomplishments as a Project lead
- Data analytics of sites and assets towards contract negotiation with vendors with highlight of a specific business case resulting in cost savings
- Improved Scorecard process for performance reporting with tangible and consistent results, leading to cost savings and improved operational efficiency
- Quality assurance of site data and drawings to ensure data reliability for accurate reporting
- Developed process, training program and user guide as a Super user for tool launch across teams
